KELLER USA INTRODUCES TRI-1 SEPARATOR FOR MQL AND DRY MACHINING DUST AT FABTECH 2013
Keller’s new TR-1 for MQL and dry dust processes is a stand-alone separation system designed to be installed adjacent to the source of emissions, particularly combustible or explosive dust, such as those created during the machining of metals. Improved and faster processes and materials require adaptability when handing metallic dusts. The TR-1 series enables filter cartridge cleaning during operation, without interrupting the process and ensures efficient shift operation during metal treatment. As an added benefit, efficient, environmentally responsible separation avoids venting exhaust air outdoors, since clean air can be redirected into the plant.
Keller’s TR-1’s can be installed as standalone units that are especially suitable for essential modifications or retrofits. The units are also available in a variety of configurations with appropriate protective devices for customer-specific requirements, such as combustible dust with or without ignition sources, or potentially combustible and explosive metallic dusts (MQL). Ignition sources can be detected by the installing a ProSens sensor. Adding a protective device such as the ProFlap prevents the spread of explosion pressure and flames throughout the ductwork, and the new ProVent device ensures the safe discharge of explosive pressure.
Keller USA will be exhibiting at Booth S5620 in the Finishing Pavilion at Fabtech 2013 in Chicago, with additional products and news on its latest air filtration technology.
