Rusty Wallace, GE Headline FABTECH 2015 Keynote Presentations
Featured panel sessions on Additive Manufacturing/3-D Printing and Enterprise Security Risks also part of FABTECH special events FABTECH, North America’s largest collaboration of technology, equipment and knowledge in the metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishing industry, features a prestigious lineup of speakers and panels this November. Keynote presentations by Legendary NASCAR driver, Rusty Wallace and Karen Kerr, Director for Advanced Manufacturing, GE Ventures, featured panel sessions on Additive Manufacturing/3-D Printing and Enterprise Security Risks, and a state of the industry executive outlook focused on Advanced Manufacturing, are just a few of the special events taking place at FABTECH 2015. FABTECH will be held at McCormick Place in Chicago on Nov. 9-12, 2015, and is expected to bring together over 40,000 attendees and more than 1,600 exhibiting companies demonstrating the latest industry products and solutions. Rusty Wallace will kick off FABTECH 2015 Monday, Nov. 9 at 9:00 a.m. with a keynote presentation demonstrating that anything is possible through the power of teamwork. Wallace’s 25-
yearcareer included a Rookie of the Year Award, 55 Cup wins, and recognition by NASCAR as one of the 50 greatest drivers of all time. Now an ESPN/ABC sports commentator, he brings his knowledge of NASCAR to television audiences everywhere, announcing the most exciting races, including the Indy 500. Rusty will use lessons from racing to leave attendees more motivated to run a winning organization.
Also on Monday, Nov. 9 in a featured panel session “What Additive Manufacturing/3-D Printing Means for the Metal Fabrication Industry” business leaders in Additive Manufacturing will address questions on this innovative technology such as: How can this innovation help improve your business? What are the challenges? How should a company invest in the technology? Attendees can gain perspectives in terms of making metal parts and how the continued evolution of technology and pricing structure affect high-mix, low-volume manufacturers as well as reducing the cost of complex part production for metal manufacturers.
On Tuesday, Nov. 10 the featured panel session “Enterprise Security Risks: Is Your Company Protected?” will offer a comprehensive look at the current threats manufacturers’ face, the security vulnerabilities they exploit, and the potential impact on an organization as the threat of enterprise security breaches and compromises has become one of business’ greatest – and most unpredictable – risk factors.
Karen Kerr of GE Ventures will present her keynote “Innovation in the Future of Work in Advanced Manufacturing” on Wednesday, Nov. 11 at 8:30 a.m.

The future of work is full of creativity and entrepreneurship, and will redefine the competitive landscape in multiple sectors, creating far-reaching implications that will reverberate through international trade patterns and the distribution of global growth.
The “State of the Industry Executive Outlook: Advanced Manufacturing” panel will take place on Nov. 11 at 12:30 p.m. Marni Rutkofsky, Director of Strategy and Marketing, GE Ventures, Robert Henderson, Director of Additive Manufacturing, Linear Mold & Engineering, Inc., and Tom McGaughy, Director of Technology, EWI, will discuss whether how they stay on the forefront of manufacturing technology advancements and how they deal with these disruptive technologies as it relates to new product introduction, supply chain, customer interaction, and advanced automation. The panel is moderated by Rebecca R. Taylor, Senior VP National Center for Manufacturing Sciences.
