AMR Transformation
AMR gives the ability to deploy in days versus months giving us a way to do logistics in a more adaptive platform. In the past, it was something that was to fall in a path if an AGV would be forced to stop and wait for the obstruction to be cleared. AMRs can simply go around obstacles whether it's a cart, humans, etc. People still tend to neglect how powerful AMRs are as a connector from system to system. There are so many opportunities to rethink how we build the entire automation system and have an infrastructure with more satellite systems. Now we can deploy single automation systems that can supply to multiple lines simultaneously a prime example of this would be a robotic cell that has tooling and vision systems to do bin picking and nesting of parts. Giving the downstream systems the ability to handle complex featured parts.
Malachi Greb – Elite Automation
Autonomous Robotic Welding. What is Breakthrough Technology Really Capable Of?
You often hear about self-driving cars and their levels of autonomy. When can a driver completely remove their hands from the steering wheel? This also applies to robots. How can robots become fully autonomous? The presenters will talk about the most advanced technologies in robotics. They will explain to you how to accelerate value from your robotics investments. Also, they describe what to do if you already have a robot but it's gathering dust in the corner – how to upgrade an inefficient robotic cell.
David Suttle and Randy Friedlander – ABAGY
ABAGY
Experienced business / technology leader with over 30 years in bringing new innovations to manufacturing that solve business problems. Co-designed automation software that created half a billion in revenues. Held leadership positions across a variety of industries and corporations, including Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Reliance Electric, CompuServe Networks, EWI – Edison Welding Institute, and Path Robotics.
Elite Automation
In 2020, Malachi Greb began a business — Elite Automation. Over the past two years, he has hired 25 employees and is now named the 2022 Distinguished Alumnus and gained over 15,000 followers on LinkedIn. He has a larger goal to change the education system, and the way we live as humans.
ABAGY
Randy has over 40 years of experience helping clients evaluate, develop, and implement advanced technologies in manufacturing. Originally a chemical engineer in the petroleum refining and petrochemicals industry, Randy has since worked in engineering services, information technology, safety and environmental consulting, and retail design and site development services. His work in robotics and welding includes stints at the Edison Welding Institute (EWI) and Path Robotics. Having a master’s degree in finance, Randy works with ABAGY clients to evaluate both the engineering feasibility and the business case justification for investments in robotic welding.
